Lattice engine

2 available instruments

Rhythmic retrigger engine Lattice takes whatever you're holding down — a chord, a single note — and turns it into pulse. Free-run it and the timing drifts; lock it to the grid and it snaps into place, hit after hit. Arpeggiate instead and it climbs, falls, or scrambles through the notes at random. What makes each strike interesting is what happens inside it: a filter creeping open or shut, a decay tail, a stab of noise at the attack. Relay sounds like the grid made audible. Filament sounds like it's straining against it.

Engine features

Each retrigger is shaped as it fires: a filter envelope with min/max and smoothing, a decay tail, an attack time, and a separate noise-trigger output, all scaled to the current pulse length.

Set the rate freely or lock retriggers to the host tempo, with divisions from whole notes up to 1/128th, including toggleable dotted and triplet feels. Changes to rate, sync, or tempo never interrupt the pulse. The pending hit fires on its existing grid, and the change takes hold from the next hit onward, so nothing stalls or floods mid-stream.
